Gameplay:  Thinking way back to the text-based games and multi-user dungeons, Crest of the Moon will combine that nostalgic feeling with graphical elements to keep you highly engaged.  This game will be that of high-fantasy along the lines of meshing Zork and Dungeons & Dragons.

Background:  You step into a high fantasy world assuming the role of a specific class and on a mission to find out who you are.  Unaware of your current surroundings when you enter the game, you set out on a path of not only self-discovery but a journey that will lead you far into the dark places of a strange world.

Example story-line excerpt:

The moon smiles at you and the wind whispers in your ears, "The time is now young adventurer, the time is now..."

So it begins, your life as an adventurer.  Who will you become?  What will you do?  The choices lie in your hands...

You awaken from a dream.  One like no other that has you in a cold sweat.  As you quickly sit up, you realize you are unfamiliar with your surroundings.  You think for a bit to recall what brought you here but are unable to.  Looking down at yourself you realize you are in torn rags with no possessions. 

*an uneasy feeling overcomes you*

You appear to be in a small room with weather worn wooden floors and piles of hay scattered about. The scent of rotten meat and spilled grog fills your nostrils as you slowly gaze across the room .  A single half-framed window sprawls in the morning light as it dances across the floor boards.  The forest trees outside mingle with the sun casting distorted shadows in the room.  

*at times you think they are reaching for you*

A wooden door, half-cocked on it's hinges lies to the north.

A blanket covers what appears to be a box or furniture in the far corner.

Near you to your right, you see a small object shining from the hay.
